Blind

This song is another one penned about obove said relationship. I don't like it. In parts it descends into cliched love rubbish and is based solely around chords (no riffage). It is however mad fun to play as Ed's drumming really sets this alight and Paul's lead in the bridge is nothing short of inspired. To my dismay it is the highlight of our live set. Paul inspired by the bridge named the song because at the time it was identified only after the person it was written initially for.

Your hair gently wisps in the breeze
It’s only you, I can’t believe,
Carry me away to better place,
I’m there when I see your face

This pain is eating at my brain,
Without you I can’t tell the sun from rain,
Confusion rules my everyday
What should I do, and what should say?

Your eyes pierce my heart
Like sunshine in the dark
I bleed from the open wound
Now I am dead, Now I am Dead

I can’t see but through your eyes,
And can’t breathe but in disguise,
Not today, it’s still the same,
I can’t revolt against my shame,

My second guess will not impress,
I’ll stay true to the wrenching in my chest,
The room is dark, you’re not inside,
When will you come to free my mind?

Your eyes pierce my heart
Like sunshine in the dark
I bleed from the open wound
Now I am dead, Now I am Dead

So far beyond my reach
Its you but I can’t see

  1. Dont worry too much. A trope here or there is okay as long as your piece has the conviction to hold it up.
